How far is it from Hanoi to Halong Bay?
Halong Bay is located 160 km away from Hanoi, this would take you about 3 – 3.5 hours in a private car to Halong city.

Private Car: Using a private car is more convenient and more flexible for travelers. Our driver will be waiting for you at your hotel lobby at 8:00 AM. The travel time is shorter because you don’t have to collect other passengers from other hotels in the morning peak hour traffic. This allows you more time for breaks, for tea, or a toilet stop along the way or to stop for photo opportunities, things you cannot do on a bus. ( highly recommended )
