Wanting to see a National Park in Vietnam a friend and I booked a 2 day private trip with HTS Tours that took us to Cuc Phuong N P and also to the Hot Springs in Ken Ga. Our car arrived on time with our guide, who was so informative, and we set off from our hotel, passing some typical country scenes and nice bushland on our way to the park. On arrival we saw the work the staff are doing at the primate rescue centre, then undertook a walk through the park and learnt a lot about the conservation of numerous animal and plant species. We passed waterfalls, some very old trees, including one over 1000yars old, and saw wild animals as well as an ancient cave. On our return to the park’s accommodation we ate well and crashed out for the night. Woke early the following morning to the sounds of birds and other park animals, and after breakfast we took our car and saw some beautiful panoramic scenery at Van Long, before arriving at the Ken Ga hot springs. Here we bathed in the warm spring water then plunged into a cooler pool, and the experience was very refreshing. We then headed back to our hotel stopping at a cave on the way, and arrived back to our hotel around 6pm. It was a very interesting and informative trip that we would recommend to others.
