Cross the border and continue by road from the border to Phnom Penh. The tour finishes at the tour office in central Phnom Penh at approximately 5 pm.
Our journey from Vietnam to Phnom Penh in Cambodia was via the Mekong Delta and Chau Doc and was a really good way to cross borders. We enjoyed a guided tour of the delta and some delightful boat rides on the waterways. After a night in Chau Doc, a cruise to some sites after breaky and a seamless border crossing at Vinh Xuong we were on our way to Phnom Penh and arrived there at 5:10pm.
We went to Phnom Penh on a 2 day trip that included a guided tour of the Mekong River Delta. To be honest I did not think it would be all that interesting, but the guided tour turned out to be enthralling. We cruised on water, explored an ethnic village, checked out a floating market and spent the night at Chau Doc amongst other things. Our crossing into Cambodia was easy and the air conditioned bus to Phnom Penh was good.
