Itinerary
Trang An – Bai Dinh Pagoda one day tour:
At 8:15am the HTS Tour guide and car will collect you from your Hanoi Hotel to depart for Ninh Binh Province, to begin your Trang An – Bai Dinh Pagoda one day tour.
10:30 AM: Our tour guide will take you to Bai Dinh Pagoda, which has hundreds of Buddhist statues including the biggest statue of Buddha made in bronze standing 10 meters tall.
12:30 PM: Time to take a break and have lunch at a local restaurant with Ninh Binh traditional dishes from goat meat.
1:30 PM: We will continue the trip to Trang An. Upon on arrival, we will take the boat trip along Trang An river to enjoy the cave complex. The scenery of Trang An is a unique combination of deep turquoise river water between mountains, water caves and clear blue sky where you will not find anywhere else. The boat trip will range from 2 to 3 hours, rowed by local people.
After the boat trip, we return to the bus and head back to Hanoi city.
6:00 – 6:30 PM: We drop you off at your hotel in the Old Quarter. Your Bai Dinh Trang An 1 Day Tour concludes.
We opted for a tour by private car with a guide for our day trip to see the Bai Dinh Pagoda and Trang An because we did not want to go by bus with many other people, and I am sure we made the right choice. We had heard that the Bai Dinh Pagoda site was big… but found that it was an understatement as it was massive. We took an electric car to the site entry gates after arriving, and saw a Buddha Statue at the top of the hill, it looked fairly big but after meandering to the top, past many statues, a massive drum and several prayer halls decorated with Buddhist paraphernalia and statues we realised how huge the statue was, 10metres tall. We descended down the opposite side we came up to ensure we did not miss anything, took the electric car back to the parking area and reboarded our vehicle, and proceeded to a restaurant for lunch. We then travelled the short distance to Trang An and enjoyed a serene sampan journey through the sacred caves of the area, passing huge karsts along the way. We headed back to Hanoi after our 2hr ride and returned to our hotel well pleased with our trip
