About Hoi An City
The UNESCO Heritage listed Hoi An City is a living museum and a must see city with much to see and do in and around the surrounding countryside. Once a sheltered sea-port named Faifo, it attracted traders from around the world who came to buy high class silk, pepper, paper, tea molasses, ivory and more. The international sailors and traders left their mark in the town with some very interesting buildings that still stand today, a testament to the skills of the builders. Travelers can visit the many sites of the historic town, enjoy the pristine beaches, take boat cruises, an organic herb farm, enjoy a cooking course, and much, much more. Hoi An City is a staging place to launch explorations of My Son, the ancient Kingdom of Champa, built from the 2nd to 10th centuries. Hoi An City has many places to explore, and is a place not to be missed.
