Hoi An is a World Heritage Listed site, and is very well preserved dating back to the 15th Century when its name was Faifoo. The ancient buildings still remain and are used today, testament to the original builders. The influences of the Chinese, Dutch, Indian and Japanese seafarers is evident in the architecture seen there today. The unique Japanese “covered bridge” that is found here is over 400 years old. Hoi An is a relaxing place to spend time and to undertake day trips of the surrounds, swim in its beaches or to visit the talented tailors for some clothing.
