Hue, a UNESCO World Heritage Listed city is situated on the coast of Vietnam, in the Central region. It is known as the cultural heart of the country and was the last city to host the Royal Family. There is much to see here including the Citadel, the hidden inner sanctums of the Royals, many beautiful temples and also includes a delightful river cruise to the Perfume River. The Royal family attracted many great chefs to the palace and the food available here is some of the best in Vietnam. Hue is also the place that today’s “ao dai”(traditional dress) was born, adapted from the clothing worn in the Royal courthouse.
